The Basketball Tournament - Senshi OlympicsAnnouncer Guy: Welcome to the Senshi Olympics! Tonights game - the Amazoness Quartet versus the Ayakashi Sisters! We have your hosts Professor Tomoe and Tuxedo Kamen!
Professor Tomoe: Welcome, ladies and gentlemen. We have a great game tonight - the Ayakashi Sisters take on the Amazoness Quartet. I'm Professor Tomoe -
Tuxedo Kamen: And I'm Tuxedo Kamen - or, in English, Tuxedo Mask.
Tomoe: Okay, before we go on, let's go to Princess Kakyuu for information on tonight's game.
Kakyuu is in a studio with an Oriental decor.
Kakyuu: Thank you Professor. Tonight's game is going to be a hot one - the Quartet and the Sisters are very anxious to settle the question of who's the better bad-girl foursome without the gory violence. Here's a quote from Karaberas:
"I am ready to get those Amazons or whatever they're called."
Kakyuu: Unfortunately, we didn't get a quote or an interview from the Quartet. Back to you Professor.
Tomoe: Thank you Kakyuu. I am anxious to get to the game - aren't you, Tuxedo Mask?
Kamen: Yes, and it's Tuxedo Kamen - it sounds better. Now, to announce the teams. We've got the Ayakashi Sisters - Karaberas, the second oldest of the group and reminiscent of Sailorvenus. She is a forward. Petz, the oldest of the four, whose attack is dark lightning and reminds us all of Sailorjupiter, the thunder senshi. Petz will be a forward. There's Beruche, the blue haired third-oldest of the four, who has powers similar to Sailormercury, and who will play a guard - and finally, Cooan, the youngest, cat-like member, who has gotten into more than one tiff with the firey Sailormars. Cooan will be a guard. Their coach is Emerald.
Tomoe: And the other team, the Amazoness Quartet - CereCere, of whom many have compared to Sailorvenus, JunJun, who can be described as Sailorjupiter's equal, VesVes, who's every bit as fiery as Sailormars, and ParaPara, who is just darn cute. Their coach will be the Black Lady. CereCere and JunJun will be forwards, and ParaPara and VesVes will be guards.
As the announcers say their names, the players come out of opposite sides of the arena, looking tough. The referee, Ann, throws a jump ball. Karaberas reaches for it, but CereCere grabs it and dribbles it to the left end of the court, where the Sisters' basket is. She throws it, but misses. Cooan snatches it from the ground and dribbles it to the Quartet's basket. She throws it, but her throw is completely off and lands on the Subway sandwich stand.
Cooan: Oops.
CereCere: You clod! God, can't you get anything right?
Cooan: Shut up, you circus freak!
The players head back to their positions and Alan throws the ball to ParaPara. She turns and bounces it to VesVes, who bounces it back to ParaPara and the two Amazonesses run down the court with ParaPara dribbling the ball. ParaPara chucks the ball towards the hoop and the ball sails in the hoop cleanly.
Tomoe: Two points for the Amazoness Quartet. Looks like the Sisters haven't even tried - nobody tried a layup.
Kamen: How true. But the sisters look pretty angry. Everybody is going back to their positions and we have *looks at computer scoreboard* six seconds until the end of the quarter. And let's go back to the game.
The Sisters are looking mighty tiffed. They glare at their opponets as JunJun grabs the ball. She races down the left end of the court, and attempts a slam dunk - but crashes into the headboard. The Sisters explode in peal after peal of laughter. Angry, JunJun slams the ball to the ground and the ball lands on Veronica Lodge's head.
Veronica Lodge: You stupid incompetent! My daddy, Hiram Lodge, will sue you for reckless endangerment!!
Veronica's friends, Betty Cooper and Archie Andrews try to calm her down, but Veronica continues to scream as JunJun gives Veronica the finger. Alan calls for a time out and the teams trot to the sidelines where their coaches are.
Tomoe: Looks like we have the famed romantic triangle from Archie Comics here to observe today's game.
Kamen: And look who's sitting next to Veronica Lodge - Cheryl Blossom- and look! Cheryl spills her diet soda all over Veronica's white cashmere sweater!
Veronica: *glares at Cheryl* You stupid redhead! You're going to pay for my sweater! It was my favorite one and you had to ruin it!
Cheryl: For God's sake, it was an accident - ow!
Kaolinite stands in front of Cheryl, looking upset.
Kaolinite: Okay, you stupid brat, it's go time - you and me!
Cheryl runs out again and Kaolinite teleports after her. Veronica smiles.
Veronica: Good riddance.
Betty: Let's just watch the game.
Tomoe: All right, let's get back to the game. VesVes is on Cooan. ParaPara snatches the ball and is now dribbling it. She uses an over hand pass to pass the ball to VesVes, and Ves catches it! She's now running down the court to the Sister's basket, but look! Petz isn't happy with this turn of events, so she trips VesVes!
Kamen: Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this is our first foul. Ves hasn't even crossed the center line, so this means that the offended team -- the Quartet -- will throw the ball from outside the court.
VesVes and ParaPara head over to their end of the court. Ves throws the ball into the court and the game continues.Tomoe: Woah *looks at scoreboard* two seconds! ParaPara has the ball once again and is dribbling it. Beruche steps up to Para and steals the ball! She passes it to Petz and Petz shoots! The ball lands in the basket just as the bell rings! *loud buzzing can be heard*
Kamen: Amazing. Simply amazing. As of now, the game is tied 2:2. Stay tuned for the second quarter. And now, a word from our sponsors:
Commercial for Howdy Doody Cheese Doodles comes on. The audience grimaces in disgust; Howdy Doody Cheese Doodles are the worst Cheetos rip offs in existance, but no one says anything -- except Veronica Lodge.
Veronica: *stands up* How can anyone like Howdy Doody Cheese Doodles?! They taste so chalky and fake -- like the powdered cheese that comes with those macaroni & cheese mixes.
Archie: Veronica, sit down!
Veronica: No!
Kamen: And that's our sponsor, makers of the very delicious Howdy Doody Cheese Doodles! *pulls out Cheese Doodles bag, opens, and eats one. A peculiar look crosses his face as he tries to chew the stale cheese doodle.*
Tomoe: Erm, well, the second quarter has begun. The Amazoness Quartet and the Ayakashi Sisters are tied 2:2.
Kamen: The game is under way, and Karaberas has the ball. She makes a fast break and shoots! The ball lands cleanly into the hoop. Two more points for the Sisters.
Tomoe: What a turn of events. The Quartet is angry. ParaPara steals the ball from Karaberas, who caught the ball upon it's landing. She passes it to JunJun, who runs down to the Sisters' basket. She shoots, but -- look! Cooan trips JunJun!
Kamen: Foul number two. This time, JunJun will be allowed three free throws, because one, she didn't make the basket, and two, she was on the three point line. JunJun prepares for the shot. Shoot number one -- she misses! One more shot -- and she makes the basket! *Quartet fans cheer loudly* This brings the Quartet's total to five points. JunJun makes another shot, and it lands into the basket! One more point, which brings the Quartet into the lead again!
Tomoe: And we have four more seconds to go. This quarter has gone by fast, hasn't it, Tuxedo Kamen?
Kamen: It sure has. Once again, the game is underway, and this time the Quartet is in defense -- Beruche steals the ball from JunJun, and passes it to Cooan, who runs down to the Quartet's basket and passes it to Petz, who is just behind the three point line. She catches it and shoots -- a clean shot, Professor! The Sisters earn three points, bringing their total to five -- one point behind the Quartet!
Tomoe: And there goes the buzzer. *Buzzer buzzes loudly* The second quarter is over, and the Quartet is in the lead, 6:5. Stay tuned for the final two quarters of the game.
